About Us Jowaje Publishing is an independent publishing company, created solely to publish the literary works of the author, Vee Jefferson, RN. We will in the future, take on other ventures and expand our business to include publishing other literary genres, books by other authors, pamphlets, personalized & occupational calenders, occupational comic strips, journals, etc. But for now, the focus is on the author's first book, "The Truth About HealthCare - Uncensored!" The primary purpose of this site is for research and gathering marketing information. We encourage you to write to us and tell us what you think. Tell us if you would buy a book like this. Tell us if you wouldn't. Tell us if you have a funny story you would like to share and possibly have published (with your permission of course). A discussion forum will be coming soon. Look for it ! Because we are licensed and authorized to educate and instruct, we have added a health advice service. It's free and your questions and replies will be confidential. In the future, we will employ IM services to communicate with guests in real-time, along with sending out a monthly health newsletters to anyone who would like to subscribe. Jowaje Health Community (presently under construction) is an informative health information site also created by Vee. It's mission is to provide health education and disease prevention to enlighten and empower. You will be able to get the latest in health news, read original articles written by Vee, join one of the many forums (you will surely find one just for you), or simply chat with other members. | Jowaje Publishing is owned and operated by me. I'm a Registered Nurse who has worked in the clinical setting for many years (i.e. both large and small hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, and private duty nursing), so direct, hands-on patient care is my specialty, so to speak. I've authored and published my first book, " The Truth About Healthcare - Uncensored." Also a newspaper and magazine columnist, I write articles on a wide variety of subject matter, but especially on health related topics. Jowaje Publishing was born after one particularly stressful night at work at the hospital. I came home frustrated and tired, feeling like the weight of the world was on my shoulders. I decided that I had some things I really wanted to express. And because nurses are not allowed to voice their opinions in the workplace, I decided to be a voice for nurses on the largest scale possible. I decided to write a book! On that very first night I sat down at my desk, alone with my thoughts and my computer and started to type. The strangest thing happened. The book came to life and started to write itself. I figured the book really needed to be written, and it was my purpose to write it. We at Jowaje believe that although you are not always able to change your present circumstances, it's like a breath of fresh air to actually see your thoughts written in black & white and realize that you are not alone. This book is for everyone - medical staff, patients, and family members and care givers. With effective communication and understanding, everyone benefits.
